Glass & Paneling
Design includes options for varying mixes of paneling and
glasswork. Glasswork can be a installed in a variety
of styles including Georgian bars, diamond squares,
radiuses and picture styles as well as using specific
materials such as self cleaning glass, thermal glass,
smoked glass or glass with solar protection.
Finish
Finishing considerations vary depending on the material,
aluminium and uPVC. Options include matt and gloss finishes
in most colours, dual colours for internal and external
matching and textures such as wood grain. Working closely
with our customers we can help identify a solution that
is right.
Grilles
Grilles can be incorporated in a number of ways into your
glazing system and we can help you to determine which
system will be the most appropriate for you. There are
essentially four options, complete pain separation which
is the traditional method for glazing, or simulated division.
There are three simulated methods, grilles between glass,
permanent divides and simulated divides. Grilles give
you a more rustic cottage feel to your property and are
generally more expensive.
Hardware
There is a wide range of hardware available, most of which
is specific to a particular system. Many systems offer
standardised fittings for generic hardware items such
as locks, hinges and blinds. We at Utopia Windows can
help you through the options during the design stage
ensuring that you end up with exactly the windows your
house needs.
Trim
There are a number of options for internal and external trim
from external brick effect through to discreet internal
edging. We can help you visualise the significant effect
attention to detail can have on your windows. We also
have a wide range of trim at our factory that you can
look at and feel, helping you to get the best from your
new install.
Screens
Screens are typically used on slide windows, vented windows
and outward window sets and are available in plastic,
wire and charcoal fibre glass meshes of differing densities
and light diffusion. Loose mesh is ideal for situations
where your requirement is simply to stop objects entering
or leaving the room, such as cats, birds or small children,
whilst finer meshed which can be more restrictive is
more applicable for preventing insects entering.
